It was a superb evening in more ways than one on Wednesday evening in Clonduff Park – up on 100 youngsters aged U8 and U6 (some as young as 3) and a lot of parents turned up to witness the excellent work that is being done with these age groups in a fun-filled environment – and the weather was mighty favourable too! Each age group was divided into six groups with each group performing a different skill for 10 minutes after which the groups moved to the next skill set. The enjoyment was very evident! At the end of the evening each of the players were presented with a personalised certificate and a Crème Egg by members of the Senior Football squad – undoubtedly a lot of thought went into the event and it took a lot of man/woman power to carry it off! Well done to the players, mentors, helpers, parents and the senior players.
