Clonduff Musicians at Awards 2016

The Clonduff Club was filled to capacity on Saturday 19th March 2016 for the Annual Awards and Dinner – Francis Quinn was Fear an Tí on the night and he welcomed the guests and introduced new Chairman Jimmie Cousins. The Special Guest on the night was the Great Pete McGrath who had wonderful things to say about Clonduff Past and Present! Other guest on the night included County Chairman Sean Rooney, Camogie Chairperson Deirdre McGrath, County Cultural Officer William James Smith, St Patrick’s PS representative Plunkett McConville, INF representative Paddy Morgan.

On entering the beautifully decorated club, patrons were entertained by a group of Clonduff musicians who have represented Clonduff in Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsir and formal proceedings got under way with Amhran na bhFiann sung by County Scór Solo Singing Champion Mary Catherine Murray.

Francis kept proceeding moving along nicely with some presentations between the various courses of the delicious meal, prepared and served by Diamonds Restaurant, Warrenpoint. The evening concluded with the music/singing of one-man band Stephen Rafferty. (Lots more photos on our FaceBook Page)

Many thanks to all who attended, helped with the preparations or participated in any way – Clonduff is a great club and this was very evident on Saturday night. Roll on next year!
