CLONDUFF DEFIBRILLATORS
Clonduff GAA Club has had a Defibrillator (AED) installed since 2007 – thankfully it has never had to be used in the club but it has been used a number of times in the community.
A second defibrillator was acquired and at the beginning of lockdown this new one was donated to the village, placed on the wall at the door of McGreevys Spar Hilltown and just recently we took delivery of a new replacement one at the club.
Over the years, Clonduff Club has consistently organised AED training as part of their pitch-side First Aid training courses.
Damian Fearon our registrar, assistant treasurer and coach who sourced the lifesaving equipment and temperature-controlled cabinets, is pictured following the new installation at the club. Many thanks to club members Mickey Fegan and Brendan Carvill for the electrical work on the cabinet at the club. Damian is pictured with his son Luke proudly showing off the Primary Schools Cup which St Patrick’s won on Thursday evening 20th April 2023.
Sinead McKeown checks both defibrillators every week for battery and pads and she is pictured recently checking the one outside Spar – many thanks Sinead for this vital weekly commitment. Many thanks to McGreevys for supplying the electricity to the cabinet at their door.
