RÍAN BRANAGAN ON ULSTER COLLEGES COMBINED TEAM 2013

Pictured here is the Ulster Colleges Combined Hurling team that participated for the first time ever in the All Ireland Quarter Finals of the Croke Cup in Ashbourne on Saturday 16th March 2013 v Connacht Mercy Colleges. The Ulster lads gave a great account of themselves. Reports say it was not lack of hurling ability but inexperience that allowed a 3 point lead going into injury time to be snuffed out and finish one point down to the experienced Connacht side.

Pictured above is the Ulster team and our own Rían Branagan (son of Paddy and Bronagh) 4th from right back row was the full back on the team.
