Clonduff’s Sean McNally (left) played in the All Ireland Silver Masters Handball Final on Saturday 24th March 2012 against Tipperary’s Jim O’Brien.

It certainly has been a great twelve months for the Rostrevor native who had hoped to add the 40×20 Title to his All Ireland One Wall Championship won earlier in the year. Sean, who represents Clonduff in handball is very committed to his sport and has travelled all over Ireland and the World to represent his County and country.

Sean has recently been elected as Down GAA Handball Chairman and is very keen to promote the sport to GAA Clubs in Down. Indeed it is a tribute to the hard work being done in the County that there was a representative in the Finals this year.

Alas it was not to be – Sean was narrowly defeated 21-18, 21-17.

Ccongratulations to Sean McNally on his wonderful year in 2011. His achievement were:  Ulster Handball Awards – Masters Player of the Year
One Wall Nationals Silver Masters Champion
Ulster 60×30 Silver Masters Champion
Ulster 40×20 Silver Masters Champion
Captain of Clonduff’s Ulster Junior 40×20 Club Championship winning team
County Handball Chairperson 2011/2012
