SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL 2015

Liatroim 0-9 v Clonduff 0-8Despite Clonduff being defending County and Ulster Champions Liatroim were the overwhelming favourites for the first Camogie final in the wide open spaces of Pairc Esler. The Clonduff and Liatroim U10s had formed a Guard of Honour for the teams entering the pitch. It was score for score with Clonduff leading by a single point at half time. The second half continued in the same close manner. When time was up the referee indicated four (4) additional minutes but when FIVE additional minutes had lapsed the sides were level! A ‘strange’ free-out in front of the Liatroim goals was then awarded against Clonduff. The game continued until Liatroim got the next score with the clock showing 37½ minutes gone in the second half by the time the whistle was blown! Amazing! The least Clonduff and Down Camogie deserved was a replay.
