125 TREE PLANTING IN CLONDUFF PARK 2012

What a morning Saturday 10th November 2012 was! So many children and their parents turned up at 10am for the opportunity to plant a tree on the bank on the road side of the new pitch they were all planted by 10.50am! This batch of trees came courtesy of The Woodland Trust and whilst it was a one-off the Club is hoping to purchase additional trees and shrubs to cover the steep bank below the new field in the very near future.
Following the planting the children and their parent were treated to a welcome cup of tea/coffee for adults and soft drink and crisps for the children. Dermot O’Hagan, the organiser then presented each child with a certificate and Children’s Officer Teresa Carr presented them with the special 125 Commemorative Medal.
Thanks to everyone who turned up to make this a memorable morning for the children! What a wonderful way to end a wonderful week in the history of this illustrious club.
