The U12 footballers travelled to Mayobridge on Saturday, 26th to take part in a 9-a-side tournament.
The A team was grouped with Mayobridge B, An Riocht and Drumgath. The B Team were grouped with Warrenpoint, Glenn and Bryansford.
The B Team played very well all day but were unlucky not to have beaten Bryansford but pushed Glenn and Warrenpoint all the way; which brought them to the quarter finals of the shield where they came up against Carryduff who emerged winners. A great effort boys, well done.
The A team won all their group games to set up a quarter final place with Shamrocks B, they won this game with ease. Shamrocks B failed to score against Clonduff which put them in the Semi final of the Cup against Shamrocks A – unfortunately Shamrocks A were stronger on the day but the lads played well and with great determination all day. Well done boys!!!!
