Sunday 10th July saw over sixty children take part in the now annual U-8 Boley Challenge, with two teams visiting from Warrenpoint, one from Saval and Clonduff lining out two teams. The first matches took place between Clonduff A and Saval, while Clonduff B took on the challenge of Warrenpoint B. The second round of matches saw Warrenpoint A play Saval and Warrenpoint B play Clonduff B again. The final match took place between Clonduff A and Warrenpoint A.
Each match played by the youth of Clonduff resulted in hard fought victories. The girls and boys from all sides showed great skills and determination in their matches, which resulted in a very enjoyable morning for all those who attended. The entire Clonduff squad is pictured above with mentor John Norris. A big “Thank You!” to Warrenpoint and Saval for their participation and to Clonduff GAC for supplying the medals to each and every child who took part, ensuring a lot of smiling faces at the end of the day!
Not to be undone the U12 girls played host to neighbours Kilcoo and a fine game of football was witnessed, both sides displaying a high degree of skill. Both squads are pictured below
