McAlinden Memorial Cup in Burren 10th September 2011
This was a four-team 15-a-side tournament with games 15 mins each way. Each team played the other with whoever finished top of the table claiming the trophy. Clonduff won all 3 of their games as follows: Clonduff 2-6 Killeavy 2-5 – this was a tight end to end game with a Clonduff goal in the final seconds to take the win; Clonduff 5-7 Burren 1-1 – a great win against a Burren team that had beaten them twice in the South Down League. Clonduff had a great second half display scoring 4 goals against the wind; Clonduff v Mayobridge was a convincing win for the young ‘Yellas’ to claim top of the table and the cup to end their season on a high note.
