CLONDUFF U12s ARE DROMINTINE FUN DAY CHAMPIONS 2015

Bathed in the warm Sunshine the Dromantine SMA Open Day was a most beautiful setting for Clonduff U 12 boys to triumph in this annual Gaelic Football tournament on Sunday 14th June.
The contest was, as expected, a very competitive one with only one trophy up for contention. The Yellas, now growing in numbers to 15 lads, were slow to start losing their first game to Saval in a lack-lustre performance but this was the ‘wake up call’ the boys needed. Straight wins thereafter to the final, accounting for Bellaghy, Clann na Banna and Rostrevor to set up a chance to redeem themselves against Saval in the decider. This time the Yellas made no mistake running out worthy winners with nine points to spare.
This was a great team performance where all boys played crucial roles throughout the tournament. Fr Paddy O’Rourke presented the Cup on the steps of Dromantine College to joint Captains on the day Oisin Logan and Connor Grant with a very jubilant Clonduff Team and their supporters as onlookers.
A big thank you to Dromantine SMA Fathers and helpers for their hospitality, food and drinks, and the efficient management of the Football Tournament.
