ACMFL Final 2010 – Clonduff 2-13 v Kilcoo 2-6
Clonduff Minors beat neighbours Kilcoo in an exhilarating ACMFL Final in Newcastle on Sunday. Both sides were evenly matched with Kilcoo just edging ahead by 2pts at the end of the first half.
In the second half, Clonduff showed great composure and stuck to their task. After a magnificent team performance, they emerged the winners by 7pts. It was a great game in the second half for the Clonduff supporters to watch and the players themselves said it was a great game to be part of.
The Cup was presented to team captain, Patrick Matthews, who thanked the management team of Paul Lambe, Paddy (Shop) Brown, Noel Fitzpatrick and Arty Noel McConville.
For many of these lads, it was their last game as a Minor and what a way to finish!
