In April 2017 John Boden and Conor Milligan both Clonduff Youth playing members and accomplished Pool players represented Northern Ireland (along with 4 other lads) in the U18 Home Nations Pool Championships in Bridlington, Yorkshire. They played Republic of Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales twice each in the group stages and were pitted against group leaders Scotland in the semi -final and produced a great result to face Wales in the decider in which they were narrowly defeated.
John and Conor play Pool for the Clonduff Club in the Hilltown Pool League – two of the youngest players in the winter league. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement. The lads were delighted to meet Newry, Mourne & Down Chair Gillian Fitzpatrick and thank her personally for the Council Chairperson’s donation of £100 each to help them defray their expenses whilst in England – Thank you Gillian and best wishes for the future as you complete your amazing year as Chair of the Council!
