The ‘Yellow Globes’ Awards – A great night’s craic was had by all in the Clubrooms in early November when the inaugural ‘Yellow Globes’ were awarded as an end of season spectacular. This was the brainchild of a few Club members viz Francis Quinn, ably assisted by Fionnbharr Murphy, Orla Maginn and Sheenagh McConville – pictured here with Pat Loy (De X-Factor Organiser from Mayobridge)
The clubrooms were packed to capacity and the award winners were as follows:
Female Rear of the Year: Kelly Carvill
Male Rear of the Year: Thomas (Tooter) Murnin
‘Tightest’ Player of the Year: Paul (P O) McConville
International Player of the Year: Moya Maginn
Huff of the Year: Liam McParlan
Comeback Award: Noreen Tumilty
Hall of Shame Award 2008: Kieran Trainor
Posh n Becks Award: Finbarr McConville and Pauline Trainor
Conor and Annette O’Hagan Player of the Year Award: Conor óg and Darren O’Hagan
