General and Community
- AGM 2020 – Delayed from November 2020 due to Coronavirus held on 10th January 2021 via ‘Zoom’ for first time; Election of Officers conducted by Vincent Devlin, one of five new Vice Presidents in 2020.
- 220 members of community participated in the 50-day Walking Challenge simply to take part.
- Annual Awards for Minor and Senior Players (2020) in all codes presented online with trophies ‘door-stepped’ the previous evening.
A number of ‘good causes’ supported throughout the season – the most successful of which was the ‘Daily Dip’ during February in support of 1980 winning Championship team member Peter Devlin – all onfield disciplines participated. - A very successful Lá na gClub concluded the 8-week long funded programme of Summer Camps with all on-field disciplines showcased along with an on-going programme of entertainment throughout the 3-hour programme; each of the disciplines divided into the four provinces and the specially commissioned Shield was eventually awarded to the ‘Ulster’ team; a free barbeque provided for participants with spectators given the option of buying.
- Main sources of Income remain Down Clubs Draw – Big winners were Arleen McConville £1,000 in June, Shane Ward and Gavin McGreevy £2,000 each in December; and Friends of Clonduff Lotto – Big winners were Jenna Gribben (£9,100), Kevin Carvill (£7,500) and Gerard Morgan (£5,200)
Cultural and Social
- In absence of Scór activities due to Covid Pandemic, and following on from very successful ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’, Cultural Officer Caroline McGreevy organised a pre-Easter online Scór Programme of Entertainment – Dancing, Singing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, Ballad Group and a Juvenile ‘Novelty Act’ written by Caroline and Paddy McGreevy, practiced on Zoom and uploaded as final act on Easter Saturday night.
- As a direct result of this programme showcased on Clonduff’s FaceBook Page, TG4 contacted the Club inviting family acts to participate in their family-based competition ‘Realta na nGaolta’. Seven acts participated in the televised show – Three generations of Joe Farrell’s family Dancing half set; Kevin and Anne O’Hare and daughter Naoimh Quinn (Singing), Lishín and Derarca O’Hare (Instrumental Music), McElroy Family (Singing – reached semi finals), Kelly Family (Music/Singing), Magee Family (Instrumental Music) and siblings Kayleigh and Jordan McPolin (Singing).
- Meantime, Scór na nÓg singer Shannon Copeland had three TV appearances – starting off in March when she and her Mum appeared on ‘Donacha’s 2 Talented’, followed in May with TG4’s ‘Junior Eurovision’ where she had to perform as Gaeilge and she finished off the year with two spots on ‘The Late Late Toy Show’.
- Very successful ‘Clonduff Christmas’ entertainment programme organised in run up to Christmas.
Camogie
- Fionnuala Carr (Centre Half Back), Paula O’Hagan (Midfield) and Sara Louise Graffin (Centre Half Forward) received Irish News All Star Awards for 2020
- Sara Louise Graffin also received Irish News All Star for 2021
- U13 and U15 Camogs win both Championship and League
- U17 Camogs reach both Championship and League Finals
- Tierna Savage and Orlaith McCusker awarded Ulster Colleges All Stars – St Mark’s and Our Lady’s respectively
- Teresa Carr elected Chair of Down Camogie Board.
Football
- Senior Footballers win 2020 League (June 2021) for first time since 2000 beating Burren, finish Runners-up in 2021 League losing out by single point to Warrenpoint; also win the Corn an Dúin Plate beating Longstone after extra time.
- Darren O’Hagan continues to to Captain County and Club teams.
- U15s win County Div 2 Feile Peil.
Hurling
- Second adult team fielded to participate in Betsy Gray Cup.
- U15s reach County Feile na nGael Final losing out in extra time.
- Bryan Rice on County Minor team.
Ladies Football
- Minor (U18) LGFA win their League and Championship (Div 3)
- U13s win Div 1 League comprehensively beating Championship winners Bredagh
- Senior team reach Championship Senior C final
