As part of the Clonduff ‘Gathering’ – Festival of Storytelling, Folklore and singing, Clonduff Club hosted a Workshop of traditional singing for children on Saturday 25th March 2023. The workshop was facilitated by Aileen Lambert the well-known Wexford singer and her children Nellie, Eppie and Nan and featured a number of songs written by Aileen’s husband Mick Fortune.
The children got to learn some new as well as familiar songs and then sang them for their parents and families before the close of the workshop. Light refreshments were made available, by the club, to a all the children who attended.
Mick Fortune is a collector of folklore and he made a presentation of his work later in the evening in the INF Hall having collected a number of local stories and traditions to add to his collections.
A great wee evening was had by all
