The Scór Sinsir County Quiz took place in Drumaness on Wednesday 11th October with eleven teams representing ten clubs. Clonduff was represented by stalwarts Brian Canavan, Colin and Paul Shields and Anita Brannigan. Quiz Master (and Setter) was County Secretary Sean Óg McAteer and there were questions to suit everyone!
From early on four teams were in contention – Bredagh, Mayobridge, Clonduff and reigning champions Burren.
After the initial 10 rounds of Table Quiz questions Bredagh were slightly out in front with Burren and Clonduff finishing level on points in second place; Mayobridge was one mark back. The finale involves individual questions for the three top teams. Bredagh maintained their lead throughout this round; Clonduff finished one question behind Burren.
It was a most enjoyable occasion and many thanks to hosts Drumaness, who provided teas/coffee and bikkies/buns; to Sean Óg for the questions and to Kevin Brennan, Gerard and Nicole Keenan who collected/marked the answers; Nicole took the photographs and as a young lady of many talents maintained the spreadsheet of results!
