Many Congratulations to our senior footballers Dan Rafferty (l) and Senan Carr (r) who were vital members of the Down winning U20 team competing for the Leo Murphy Cup – they defeated Fermanagh by a single point in Brewster Park on Monday 29th April 2024.
The Leo Murphy Cup (in memory of a great Down player) is presented to the second tier U20 Championship winning team.
Fantastic result lads – Well done!
However, they weren’t finished yet! They defeated Mayo in the All Ireland Semi Final and went on to secure the All Ireland B title and the Liam Connor Cup by beating Westmeath in the All Ireland Final by 3 points in Navan.
Well done lads – great futures ahead!
