CLONDUFF YOUNGSTERS SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS IN DOWN SCÓR NA nÓG 2024

A very young Clonduff Instrumental Music Group get in a wee bit of practice before going on stage watched over by tutor Joanne and her little daughter

Clonduff Club was well represented by its young members in the first two heats of Scór na nÓg 2024 over the weekend with the senior Ballad Group participating in Glasdrumman on Friday 18th October and qualifying for the County Final despite Ruby having to leave immediately to help her U16 Camogie team reach the County Camogie Final and Clare also leaving to prepare to be bridesmaid at her aunt’s wedding on Saturday.

On Saturday in Finnis Hall, Dromara Clonduff was represented by Ceilí and Set Dancing, a Solo Singer, a young Ballad Group, two reciters and a very young Instrumental Music Group. They were such a joy to watch and according to their mentors, to work with too! Many of them still have 6+ years to compete in Scór na nÓg and hopefully they will stay together and grow and spread their talents!

Qualifying for the County Final in Atticall Community Centre on Sunday 10th November @ 1pm are:
Ceili Dance Team
Recitation – Louisa Gribben
Senior Ballad Group
Set Dance Team

Enjoy the experience and in the meantime keep enjoying what you are doing – remember, like your clubmates who play our national sports, you are keeping our culture alive!

Our Three Quiz teams will be doing participating in the County Scór Tráth na gCeist on Sunday  24th November in Castlewellan Club commencing 12 noon.
