Referees

  • Paddy Branagan qualified as Hurling Referee. Paddy is the Club’s second active Hurling Referee following in the footsteps of Eddie Clancy who qualified last year (both are still playing). There are three Football referees – Kieran Branagan (Paddy’s brother), John Francis Murray and Ben (Gerard) Brennan; four Camogie referees – Eileen Hamill, Guinevra McGilligan, Deborah Kearney and Noreen Tumilty and one active Ladies Football referee – Paula Cairns along with numerous ‘Young Whistlers’ in all Codes who regularly take charge of in-house juvenile games and tournaments!
  • Ciarán Branagan linesman at Ulster Final 2010 and All Ireland Minor Semi Final, participated in his first Kilmacud Tournament and took charge of RTE’s ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’

Cultural

  • Quiz team of Katherine Milligan, Mark Devlin and Ciara Kelly won Co Scór na nÓg title
  • Clonduff awarded ‘South Down Scór Club of the Year’
  • Set Dancers (Ursula Quinn, Niall Quinn, Elaine Farrell, Jayme Farrell, Wendy Farrell, Francis Quinn, Joleen Morgan and John Cunningham) and Novelty Act (Sean Downey, Eamon Devlin, Kealim O’Hare, Chloe Nelson, Anthony Brogan and Owen Roe Brogan) win their respective South Down and County Titles; Quiz team (Marie Walls, Mary McGreevy and Anita Brannigan) win South Down Title
  • Murray Family – Stephen, Sean and Mary Catherine entertain at All Ireland Convention in Newcastle and Down Post Match Banquet in City West Hotel after All Ireland Final

  • Clonduff Club Pool Team of Darren McKevitt, Caolan McPolin, Shane Milligan, Conall Gribben, Kieran Morgan and Captain Patrick McPolin win Pool League Team Championship

Handball

  • Sean McNally is All Ireland Masters One Wall Champion
  • Eddie Clancy is Co Junior Handball Champion
  • Shane Milligan is U14 County Handball Champion
  • Rían Branagan and Conor Brown are U16 County Handball Doubles Champions
  • Team of Paul Shields, Sean McNally, Colin Shields and Des McNeill retain County League title and win the Club’s first ever Ulster Club Title

Football

  • Senior Footballers win Co Feis Sevens and Lahm Dearg (Belfast) Sevens (both in June)
  • U15 Footballers win County Óg Spoirt title and represented Down in the Ulster competition in September, where they reached the Final but were beaten by a single point
  • U14 Footballers win South Down and County Championship Shield Finals
  • U8 Footballers won Rostrevor Tournament and Runners Up in Moy Tournament, they also won the Burren Hospice Shield
  • Niall McPolin wins second successive Ulster Further Education Sevens medal with SRC (formerly Newry Tech). The team is jointly managed by Mark Copeland and have won the title for the third year in a row
  • Clonduff P5 boys from both St Patrick’s (Ballymaghery) and St Paul’s (Cabra) won the An Riocht P5 Tournament
  • Minor Footballers win All County League defeating Kilcoo by 7 pts
  • U11 Footballers retain South Down League
  • U12 Footballers won Mayobridge Tournament
  • Danny Burns captains Newbridge Integrated College to the inaugural Integrated Schools 13-a-side Blitz title
  • The Keith Farrell trained Tullylish team won Intermediate Championship

Camogie

  • Clonduff awarded ‘Camogie Club of the Year’ for 7th time in their history
  • Three newly qualified Camogie Referees – Guinevra McGilligan, Deborah Kearney and Noreen Tumilty
  • Fionnuala Carr wins Ulster Poc Fada and is Runner Up in All Ireland Poc Fada
  • Senior Camogs retain County Championship with 2-17 to 1-3 win over Ballycran and beat Armagh Champions Ballymacnab by a single point after extra time to reach Ulster Final, butthey were defeated by Eoghan Rua of Coleraine

Hurling

  • Clonduff compete for first time in Armagh Junior League with a Seconds team and finish third
  • Adult Hurlers win County Junior title for first time since 2002

Schools

  • Patrick O’Hagan and Eamonn Grant on St Colman’s Peadar Barry U15 7-a-side winning team
  • Caolan McAvoy and Jamie Gribben on St Mark’s (County and Ulster) winning McDevitt Cup(U14) team. Michael Grant, Padraig Harper, Connor Murray and Darragh McPolin also on the panel
  • Rory and Paul Lively, Shane and Tony McGreevy on St Colman’s Hogan Cup and MacRory Cup winning team. John McAleavey, Ché Curran, Patrick Matthews, Karl O’Hagan and Darragh Sherry also on the panel – Cathal Murray the manager – honoured at South Down Awards – Cathal Murray accepted the award

  • Conor Gribben (U16 Player) member of St Colman’s All Ireland Cross Country School team-title winning team
  • St Mark’s High School won Down U14 Camogie title – ten Clonduff girls on team which was managed by Lorraine Maginn – Roisin Mulholland selected as ‘Player of the Match’ in Down Final – Shannon O’Hagan (capt), Petrina Lively, Elaine Murphy, Clare O’Hagan, Jenna Boden, Cliodhna Crothers, Rachel Harper, Leanne McAleavey and Caoimhe Morgan
  • St Mark’s High School won Down U14 Ladies Football title – ten Clonduff girls on team which was also managed by Lorraine Maginn – Roisin Mulholland, Jenna Boden, Caoimhe Morgan, Tara McNeill, Cliodhna Crothers, Leanne McAleavey, Shannon O’Hagan, Cecelia Devlin, Petrina Lively and Clare O’Hagan – play Virginia, Co Cavan in Ulster Semi Final
  • Five Clonduff boys on St Mark’s High School U14 Hurling team that won Down Schools titleand progressed through Ulster competition – Rhys Ward, Darragh Downey, Michael Grant, Dean Byrne and Lorcan Branagan
  • Twelve Clonduff lads on St Mark’s High School Hurling team that won County U16 title – Darragh Downey, Christopher McShane, Conor McShane, Sean Downey, Conor Grant, Brendan Britton, Pearce Branagan, Shea McPolin, Conor Pio Gribben, Shane Branagan, Jamie Lowry and Barry O’Hagan
  • Eight Clonduff boys on St Mark’s U14 and U16 teams that won Down Schools titles (on same day) by beating St Malachy’s in both finals. On the U16 team was Caolan McAvoy and Jamie Gribben; on the U14 team was Darragh McPolin, Conor Murray, Padraig Harper, Michael Grant, Lorcan Branagan and Darragh O’Hanlon. The U16s reached Ulster Final
  • Nine Clonduff lads on St Mark’s High School Football team that won Year 8 Down County title – Liam Geoghegan, Matthew Murnion, Darragh O’Hanlon, Conor Lowry, Michael Mulholland, Noel Grant, Aaron O’Hagan, Brendan O’Hagan and Darragh McPolin

  • Fionnuala Carr wins a fourth Combined Universities Ashbourne All Star Award
  • Niall McPolin on SRC team that won Ulster U18 Further Education Sevens – Mark Copland managed the team (Gary Maginn on SRC B team beaten in Semi Finals)
  • Mark Downey at corner forward on SRC that won All Ireland Over 19 Further Education CupMark Copeland jointly managed the team. Both Marks involved in SRC team that won Div 3 Higher Education League
  • James Killen on UCD team that won All Ireland Freshers title
  • The Ryan McShane managed/trained Liverpool University Camogie team wins British University Championship
  • Ciara Murphy wins British Combined Universities All Star Award (with Ryan McShane’s Liverpool team)
  • SRC won third in a row Ulster Sevens, jointly managed by Mark Copeland. Niall McPolin won second successive medal

National Youth Forum

  • Niomhi Murray and Katherine Milligan among nine Down Youth Delegates (16-20 year olds) at Forum held in Croke Park on Saturday 20th February 2010

National Congress

  • Ciarán McGreevy elected Co U21 representative to attend National Congress held in Slieve Donard, Newcastle in April 2010CONGRESS MASS – Clonduff people played a big part in the Congress Mass, concelebrated by Bishops McAreavey and Farquhar in the Marquee on Saturday evening. As well as a big number of club members attending the Mass, Ruby Crothers was in the choir (specially formed for the occasion from Scór representatives), the Murray Family provided the music and Ross Carr (Jnr) carried up the gifts along with a juvenile player from Bryansford, Castlewellan and Kilcoo GAC clubs.
