Friends of Clonduff presented a unique version of a traditional fundraiser in the Clubrooms on Saturday night. The jockeys had to ‘wind in’ – not drag their horses from the starting line to the finish line. Indeed there were a few false starts and there had to be a few Stewards’ Enquiries resulting in a number of disqualifications. It was a hilarious and entertaining evening. Many thanks to all those involved in organising the event, particularly Martin Farnon, Orla Maginn, Anthony Morgan and especially Declan Burns of Leitrim who provided the ‘horses’.
