ATHLETIC SUCCESS FOR CLONDUFF BOYS 2012

Congratulations to Conor Gribben (son of Eddie and Eileen), Castlewellan Road who recently won the 2012 All Ireland Schools title with St Colman’s Senior Cross Country School team in Galway. Conor plays football for Clonduff. This All Ireland completes the set of Down, Ulster and All Ireland medals for Conor and is just reward for a long hard winter of tough training in all sorts of weather.

Conor, third from right (Top) with his team mates is coached by: Declan Mussen, R Friel, B Kane – the same group of lads won the All Ireland Intermediate title two years ago but this is St Colman’s first ever All Ireland Senior title. Well done Conor and all concerned!

Congratulations also to Darren Quinn (son of Arty and Marylou), Slievenagarragh, and a member of the Clonduff U12 Football team who was on the St Colman’s first year athletics team that won the Down and Ulster Cross Country titles 2012.
