CAMPA CHORMAIC 2011

Campa Chormaic An Dúin was the first such camp outside Tyrone in memory of the late Cormac McAnallen. It is now a well established feature in the Down summer calendar and is held in St Malachy’s High School, Castlewellan. The youngsters aged 9-15 years spend some time in the classroom learning their native language and a greater part of the day learning or honing their skills in the Gaelic field sports of Football and Hurling/Camogie. As usual, Clonduff had a big representation with 23 children attending and thanks once again to Teresa Carr for organising the transport.
Organisers reported that the Clonduff youngsters were a credit to their families and to the Club with Mark Devlin (Left) picking up the award to the Overall Best Boy of the Week and Jenna Boden (Right) picking up the award for the Best Girl in her Class. Well done Mark and Jenna and everyone else who attended the Camp.
