On Monday morning 32 boys aged 4-11 came with their hurls to participate in the Annual Hurling Camp in Clonduff Park – numbers are growing year on year. The youngsters received expert tuition from in-house, County and Ulster coaches – Paddy Branagan Snr and Paddy Jnr, Chrissy Hynes, Damien Farnon, Ryan Gaffney (Middletown & Ulster), Danny Toner (Portaferry & Down). They were very ably assisted by Clonduff Young Volunteers Paudie Clancy and Erin Lively.
The curtain came down on the Hurling Camp on Friday and before heading home each of the children were presented with a sliothar to keep practising their skills! All the youngsters enjoyed the camp each morning and the weather wasn’t too unkind! A huge thank you to Shane Quinn for organising and to all those who helped out in any way.
