Congratulations to Rían Branagan (above) who has been selected for the Ireland U21 team to play in the Hurling/Shinty International next weekend in Inverness. Rían was a regular on the Down Senior Hurling team in 2015, played Senior Football for Clonduff when Down Hurling was over for the year and is a current member of the Clonduff U21 Football squad!
Not to be outdone in the Branagan Family, younger brother Patrick was a member of the Down Colleges Hurling team that made the final of the Mageean Cup this year.
And still on the Clonduff Hurling front Rhys Ward, a member of Clonduff Senior Hurling team played in the recent County Minor Hurling Final for Newry Shamrocks having been a member of the Down Minor Hurling squad in 2015 (Rhys had temporary transfer to Shamrocks as there was no Minor Hurling in Clonduff)
