On the day (19th September) their home club, Clonduff, opened their 2021 Championship Campaign, local lads Connor Millilgan and Rory McQuaid were plying their trade with Liverpool John Mitchels. Unfortunately the Liverpool side were beaten by a single point by Manchester side St Brendan’s – 2-8 to 0-15
Rory, a nurse, only recently transferred to Liverpool and Connor a student, is a very busy man in the club. He is currently player/manager of the Senior Men’s team and also manages the Senior Ladies team. On the day before his own County Final he managed the Ladies to their Championship title. His sister Katherine is a member of the Ladies’ team.
