Clonduff was one of 15 teams from across the county that gathered in Teconnaught in Thursday night 13th February for the new format Trath na gCeist. The quiz is now in two parts – 10 rounds of six questions in the Table Quiz with the Top 3 (or tied) from across the two Divisions progressing to the individual element onstage in the County Finals. Divisional champions are determined after the Table Quiz. Additionally there is a stand-alone Irish Language round.
Competition was close and at the end of the night three marks separated the top 5 teams. Bredagh were overall winners taking the East Down title with St John’s Runners Up. Defending County Champions Burren took the South Down title by the slenderest of margins from Clonduff and Mayobridge with Glenn another point behind. Unfortunately Glenn and St John’s miss out on the County Final.
