CLONDUFF RECEIVE ULSTER GAA AWARD FOR 2023

Clonduff Vice-Chair Bernard Branagain with Ulster President Ciarán McLaughlin

Clonduff GAA Club were invited to attend the Ulster GAA Awards, held on 9th February 2024 in Crumlin Road Gaol.

The Ulster President Ciarán McLaughlin presented our Vice Chair Bernard Branagan, who was accompanied by his wife Zipporah, with a Special Recognition Award for their engagement with Club Maith (5th Platinum in a row), Healthy Club Project and The Green Club Initiative all of which reflect their place in the heart of the community, not just in the four field codes (Men’s and Ladies Football, Camogie, Hurling), Handball, Irish Language and Culture, but also their wider reach! Clonduff GAA Club is not just a sports club!

Down Contingent – Michael McArdle (Drumgath), SeanRooney (Mayobridge) both Down reps on Ulster Council; Sean Óg McAteer (Down Co Secretary), Bernard Branagan (Clonduff) and Paula Magee (Mayobridge) Down PRO

We would also like to pass on our congratulations to County Secretary Sean Óg McAteer (Service to GAA), Helen McAleavey, Clonduff GAA/Shamrocks Camogie member (Service to Camogie), Glasdrumman GAA Club (All Ireland Ballad Group Winners 2022) and Ballygalget (Youth Coaching Award).

Clonduff Club, or any of the recipients, do not do what they do in the hope of receiving an award but they do it because it is the right thing to do! They do it because they are committed to their ‘Gaelic Family Community’.
