On Tuesday 5th July 2011, President Mary McAleese hosted a Garden Party for the GAA Clubs of Ireland who are involved in the Social Initiative. The scheme is specifically aimed at people who are no longer playing sport. Clonduff as one of two Pilot Clubs in Down was represented by Club Chairman Brendan Murray, Treasurer (and Walking Club member) Marie Walls, Niall Rafferty (Vice Chairman/Social Initiative Organiser) and Paul Kelly (Social Footballer).
