CLONDUFF U10s WIN DRUMGATH TOURNAMENT 2012

Clonduff Under 10 footballers attended the Pat Meade memorial Tournament at Drumgath on Sunday 26th August.
This was a tough competition for the young boys – they faced Newry Shamrocks, Kilcoo and Mayobridge in the preliminaries. The Clonduff team had to playoff Mayobridge for a place in the semi-finals. This was a close fought competition with a draw at fulltime. Extra time was played with the team scoring first winning through. Clonduff scored a point in the first minute allowing them to advance to the semi-final against Drumgath. Clonduff won through with a 0-6 to 0-2 score allowing Clonduff to move into the Final. The Clonduff team faced Kilcoo in the final they had previously met Kilcoo in the prelims and it was a tough match. The Clonduff boys stayed strong with young Laurence Brannigan scoring 0-2 followed by Oisin Tumilty 0-1 and young Padraig Clancy 0-1, scoring for the team allowing them to win 0-4 to 0-2.
Sennan Gribben lifted the Cup as Captain.
