CLONDUFF WIN MOY U10 TOURNAMENT 2011

Clonduff U10 Footballers went to Moy, Co Tyrone in September and came out on top in a well organised competition that included teams from Tyrone, Armagh, Down and Donegal. The unique nature of the competition shows the overall strength of a team as each fields an A and B side and the aggregate results of both determine the winner.
Clonduff were in a group that included Omagh, Dungannon, Moortown and Trillick. Accumulating a total of 13 points from a possible 16 for the two teams, Clonduff finished top of their group going on to beat Enniskillen in the quarter Final and Drumragh (Tyrone) in the semi final. In the final they came up against fellow Down team Carryduff. In a great final Clonduff came out on top with an aggregate of 5 points.
The Fr Soroghan Cup was presented to joint captains Aidan Markey and Kieran Mulholland (below left). An added bonus for Clonduff was Tom Close (below right), who was outstanding all day, being selected ‘Player of the Tournament’.
