65 x U11 children and parents went to Croke Park on Sunday 25th June for the a Tailteann Cup Semi Finals 2023. And what a treat was in store for them! They watched their County heroes amass a magnificent score of 8-16 against a Laois side that offered little resistance until the last quarter of the game finishing with 2-12.
The kids saw Senior players Paddy Branagan and Ross Óg Carr make their debuts in Croke Park when they came on as second half subs – Paddy scored two long range points and Ross made some very important interceptions in the half-back position.
The kids sent their best wishes for speedy recovery to Barry O’Hagan (long-term injury) and Eamon Brown.
All the kids had a brilliant day out and are looking forward to their next big day at HQ
