The Clubrooms were filled to capacity with young people and their parents on Friday night 22nd November 2013 for the Annual Juvenile Awards Night. Everybody was treated to a Hotdog/Burger and soft drink prepared by Seamus & Angela McAteer (Boulevard Restaurant, Newry) and Laurine Harper. The Juvenile Games Development Officer Ross Carr got the formal proceedings under way by introducing the Special Guests – Karen Tinnelly (Down Camogie), Kyla Trainor (Down Ladies Football), Gareth ‘Magic’ Johnston (Down Hurling) and Kevin McKernan (Down Football).
Ross welcomed the parents, coaches and the players themselves. He mentioned the spectrum of field sports – Camogie, Ladies Football, Hurling, Football, the upsurge of interest in both Handball and Scór and thanked those responsible.
The Awards were presented by the Special Guests.

Kevin also presented the medals to the U11 and U12 teams who finished runners up in their leagues.
A new award was introduced this year – ‘Spirit of Clonduff’ – to the juvenile member who embodies all that is great in the Youth of Clonduff. Club Chairman Brendan Murray made the award to Cara Boden (pictured above)
Ross concluded the night by thanking his Juvenile Committee for their support throughout the year. The Special Guests were happy to pose with the young people for individual and group photos.
