University of Ulster Coleraine won the Lagan Cup at the O’Connor Cup weekend at the Connacht Centre of Excellence Cloonacurry, Knock Co Mayo on 11th March 2017. In the final they defeated Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-7.
Leanne McAleavey played a great game at corner forward, scored 4 points and was central in setting up one of the best end-to-end goals witnessed over the entire competition at all levels.
