Many congratulations and well done to Down Ladies and Management on their magnificent win over Limerick in the All Ireland Junior Final in Croke Park on Sunday 13th August 2023.
Limerick got off to the better start but it was the girls in Red and Black that led by a single point at half time in a low-scoring game in very bad weather conditions (0-5 to 0-4). There was never much between the sides until Down’s goal to put them 3 points up; Limerick fought very had and managed to pull one point back but the Down defence was resolute and were able to withstand the pressure.

Clonduff’s Emily Bingham is 3rd from the right in the 2nd row! Certainly one to watch for the future. Emily was drafted into the senior squad after her wonderful exploits with the Down Minor team – she thoroughly enjoyed the occasion!
