The U10 Footballers made their annual trip to The Fiddlers Green Festival in Rostrevor to take on the home side, Burren and Warrenpoint with each team fielding an A and a B team – the A teams compete for the Shield whilst the B teams compete for the Plate.
All 26 Clonduff children got plenty of football in the 11-a-side competition. In the Plate Clonduff B beat Warrenpoint but lost to Burren and Rostrevor. In the Shield competition Clonduff A won all three games – it all hinged on the final game Clonduff v Burren with both teams having won their two previous games. Burren led by 2 points at half time. In the second half Clonduff were simply fantastic showing all the skills of the game outscoring Burren 4-4 to 0-2 to once again become the Champions of Fiddlers Green.
