The Young Mixed Team won on their very first official outing!
Congratulations to Clonduff’s two young Set Dancing teams who both won their respective competitions in The Down Fleadh on Sunday morning 15th June 2025 in Warrenpoint – both competed in U12 age groups – All Girls and Mixed Boys & Girls. They now go on to compete in Ulster Fleadh!
The All Girls team all aged 11 or under have won a number to titles at Scór
Shortly after, the mentors of the two young teams, Joe Farrell and his daughter Wendy Branagan, joined forces to compete in the adult Mixed team Set and lo-and-behold didn’t they just go and win that one too!
The new Fleadh County Champions are:
All Girls – Rosa McShane, Cara Quinn, Maeve Canning, Rachel Fealy, Darcy Branagan, Lucy Canning, Aine Quinn, Una Canning
Mixed – Dan Donnan, Shea Quinn, Conaill Murphy, Cillian Fealy, Ellen Gribben, Kyla Branagan, Niamh Kelly, Lainey McPolin
Adults – Niall Quinn, Joe Farrell, Michael Walls, Francis Quinn, Lisa Gribben, Wendy Branagan, Gail McPolin, Ursula Kearney
The adult team are ‘old hands’ at winning titles – long may they continue!
All three teams will now participate in the Ulster Fleadh later in the month.
