Clonduff collected three titles and the Peter Keenan Memorial Cup for the best combined Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsir participation. Vivienne Mulcahy beat six other Solo Singers to the title with her rendition of ‘Rathfriland on the Hill’. Then Vivienne joined Joanne Grant and the Murray siblings Mary Catherine and Eoin to clinch the Instrumental Music title. In the final competition of the evening the Clonduff Set Dancers – Joe, Jamie & Elaine Farrell, Francis & Niall Quinn and their sister Ursula Kearney, Gail Kane and Lisa Gribben – fought off stiff competition from Cumann Pheadar Naofa (F) to collect the Club’s third title of the evening.
All three acts along with the Ceili Dancing team – Lisa Gribben, Patrice, Clare & Emma McAlinden, Nicola Ward, Geraldine McPolin and siblings Niamh Canning and Ellen Murphy – will be appearing in the County Final next Friday night 1st March in St Patrick’s College, Banbridge commencing 7.30pm.
A big thank you to everyone who represented Clonduff in both Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsir 2019 contributing to their being adjudged the Best Scór Club in South Down – a wonderful achievement in this the 50th Anniversary year of Scór.
