Clonduff Senior Ladies played out of their skins on Saturday 13th August in Clonduff Park in the first game of the Intermediate Championship – they were face the joint league toppers Rostrevor who were pre-match favourites for the title.
The work-rate of the Clonduff girls in the energy-sapping warm and sunny conditions caused quite an upset when they took the game to ‘The Reds’ and kept them on the back-foot for most of the game and although the visitors fought right to the end the defensive qualities of this team and their ability to work the ball upfield ensured that they held on for a one-point win.
