LAURA COMPLETES ‘BUA’ YOUNG LEADERSHIP AND LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMME
Many congratulations to our young Dual Player, Laura Close on completing the ‘BUA – Believe Unlock potential Achieve’ self-development initiative organised by LGFA. Laura was one of only 35 16-19 year olds selected for the programme throughout Ireland and it covered topics essential for young people, including:
Resilience
Dealing with change
Building trust and respect
Conflict resolution
Problem solving
Project planning and delegation
Upon completion of the programme, Laura travelled to Abbotstown, Co Dublin for the presentation. She feels the programme greatly enhanced her life skills for on and off the field and hopes to put what she learned into practice in her own community.
