Clonduff retained The Patsy O’Hagan Memorial Cup in Clonduff Park on Saturday afternoon 15th March! Final Score: Clonduff 4-14 Claregalway 3-16. It was a highly entertaining and competitive game! Veteran Clonduff forward, Shane Ward scored a hat-trick! The County players from both clubs – Danny Cummins (Galway), Patsy O’Hagan’s grandson and our own Aidan Carr and Darren O’Hagan were interested onlookers – big games on Sunday!
Following the game, both sets of players and supporters were treated to a hearty meal, gifts were exchanged and the Cup was presented by Brendan O’Hagan (Patsy’s son) to Clonduff team captain Gary Haughian. Both teams then settled down to watch the nail-biting France v Ireland Six-Nations Rugby decider. The visitors are pictured above and the home side below.
