The Lunch & Learn initiative came to a conclusion on Thursday 1st June when the P7 pupils of both local primary schools – St Patrick’s and St Paul’s entertained the members of the ‘Cosy Club’.
The programme ran for six weeks in Clonduff Clubrooms and brought together the school kids and the senior citizens for a mutual learning experience. They played board games, made bean bags, painted stones, etc and finished with the post-lunch entertainment on 1st June when the children each displayed great talent through a range of performances.
The Programme was organised by Clonduff Community Outreach Officers Shauna Carvill and Christine Grimes, assisted by their team members.
Attendees from across the age spectrum thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and were enquiring when it would be happening again – always a great sign!
