For quite a few years, The Newry Wheelers Cycling Association has used Clonduff Car Park and Club Rooms as the base for their bi-annual activities – one day’s racing is confined and the other is open. On Saturday 21st June 2008 they staged their Open event when over 200 cyclists took part in the wet and windy conditions.
The cyclists sign on in the clubrooms and commence their racing from the top of the driveway and complete three circuits of the route which takes them from Clonduff Park to The Square, Kilcoo, turning left on to the Newry Road and onto Rathfriland. At the bottom of the brae they turn left on to the Hilltown Road, into into the village, turn left down through the village and past the Club.
