Hard luck but well done to Our Lady’s Grammar School Newry on reaching their first ever Ulster A Schools’ final where they were narrowly defeated by St Mary’s GS Magherafelt – Score St Mary’s 2-6 v OLS 0-10.
The game was played in Errigal Ciarán, Co Tyrone on Wednesday 8th May.
The young Newry team were superb and continued to fight right up until the last moment – but it just wasn’t to be their day!
Two Clonduff girls – Allanah Power and Hannah Brown – were superb throughout the campaign and they were fully encourage by Clonduff’s Niamh Murray, a teacher in OLS and one of the team mentors. Alannah and Hannah are dual players for their club and school.
Well done to all concerned – you have the potential to win an Ulster title in the not too distant future.
