PARTY AGAINST POVERTY 2010

Clonduff ran a Fun Quiz on Friday night (21st May 2010) in support of Ulster Camogie and Ulster Ladies Football drive to raise funds for Trocaire’s campaign for ‘Women in Uganda’.
Whilst there were some traditional quiz questions there was a lot of fun with the ‘Catchphrases’, identifying ‘stills’ from classic films and the introductory music to TV shows to say nothing of the ‘Chocolates’ round.
It was a very closely contested event with the ‘Mentalists’ (above left)coming out on top and they very kindly donated their winnings back to the fund. One of their team members, Catherine McConville (former Down Ladies Football Secretary) won the first raffle prize and young Niamh Brown (Clonduff Camogie) won the other. A great night’s craic was had by all and the handsome sum of £280 was raised for the very worthy cause.
