What a fantastic and inspiring evening – 3 hours of singing, dancing, reciting and musical entertainment! A great send-off for the Set Dancers as they head to All Ireland Finals in Killarney next weekend!
We were joined by supporters and performers, not only from Clonduff, whose ages ranged from age 4 to ????? (at least 7 decades between them) but also from Glasdrumman, Glenn, Mayobridge and Atticall – thank you very much dear friends!
Clonduff is undoubtedly a multi-talented and supportive community. Francis Quinn was an excellent Fear an Tí; Joe Parr organised and ran ‘Take Your Pick’, and there were some great prizes for the raffle – thanks to everyone who donated them and of course the funds to the fundraiser!
Among the guest speakers were County Cultural Officer Donal McNally, Ulster Scór Chair Paula Magee, South Down Chair PJ Quinn and Club Chair Ross Carr. We were also joined by Club Vice Presidents Fr Charlie Byrne and Maura Quinn and of course a big crowd of boys and girls of all ages from the Parish of Clonduff.
A final word of thanks to Paul Kelly for supplying the sound system and to our local celebrity Matt McGinn who dropped in on proceedings!
