Rosemary Young, nee Quinn passed away in 2024 – May she rest in peace!
Rosemary, a native of Clonduff was a founding member of Clonduff Camogie Club in 1968. When she married and moved to Longstone she helped found the Camogie Club there too.
Two of her sons Damian and Phelim along with their cousin Shane Quinn from Clonduff completed their ‘Ramble for Rosie’ over the mountains from Clonduff to Longstone on Sunday 6th April 2024 in memory of Rosemary.
They set out from Pairc Chluain Daimh pitch at 7am – 40k and 9 hours later they arrived at Longstone pitch!
A fitting tribute to a true Gael of our game and a wonderful achievement by her family.
