RETURN OF FRIENDS OF CLONDUFF CARNIVAL WARMLY WELCOMED

WOW …. What a weekend we have just had!

The 2023 Friends of Clonduff Carnival has been a tremendous success.
The big weekend event began on Thursday 6th July with the very unique MusicMatterz who got the night off to a great start, followed by DJ Magiggs and then our regular DJ the brilliant Ronan Barry.
Friday welcomed our very own Jordan & Kayleigh McPolin to stage – and what a talented local duo they are.. Jordan and Kayleigh got the crowd going and ready for Jimmy Buckley to dance the night away.
Saturday night was double delight with More Power to your Elbow and All Folk’d Up and back on stage was DJ Ronan Barry who kept the crowd dancing the night away …. With Almost 1000 people in attendance, it was such a great night; this was  preceded by the Primary Schools Children’s disco in the afternoon.
The 4th & FINAL NIGHT of the Carnival weekend saw DJ Magiggs blow the huge crowds away with the Carnival Boley Bingo. Crazy, Fun, laughter with lots of entertaining dance moves.
Then the amazingly talented Stephen Rafferty took to the stage and he put on a fantastic show.
The event finished out with Magiggs Proudly supported by the ‘Carnival Visibilities’ AKA the volunteers who closed the night with some show stopping moves.

It was a fantastic weekend, but would not have been possible without a large number of volunteers.
Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the chief event organiser Bernard Branagan. A number of months ago Bernard proposed the event and took on the massive task of Co-ordinating and hosting – Well done Bernard you took it all in your stride!
There was a small army of volunteers assigned to specific teams, and they were led by Stephen Branagan and Glynn McPolin (Car Park), Christine Grimes (Ticket Office), Anthony Morgan (Bar), Shauna Carvill (Floor Support), Cathy and Dermot Fitzpatrick (Burger Bar), Kathy McConville (Cleaning Team), Francis Quinn (First Aid),  Jayme Carvill and James Kane (Bar Support Team). Well done to all the teams for their great efforts!

There were so many people who helped at the events, it would be impossible to cover everyone but we sincerely THANK YOU for your time and support.
Thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the entertainment – we hope to see you all again next year!
