Clonduff had four teams representing Football, Camogie, Hurling and LGFA. The youngsters have worked hard over the last number of weeks and are a credit to themselves, their families and their club. They may not have won the medals on the night but they are certainly winners.
Dara, Hannah, Lorcan and Emma represented Football; Sean, Eoin, Caoimhe-Aine and Sinead were on the Hurling team; Maria, Daniel James S and Ollie represented Camogie and the P7 team of Emily, Naoise, Meabh and Aidan represented the LGFA – and there was very little between them. Special word of thanks to Ollie who stepped into the breach at the very last minute as one of the regular members was ill – get well soon James M.
As Clonduff was a last-minute venue, many thanks to those who turned out to set it up on Thursday night and clean up Saturday morning, and to those who attended on Friday night to steward, take photos, tidy up and most importantly to serve the refreshments – Ross, Jimmie, Geraldine and Lisa – and to the Clonduff parents who provided the crisps of which there were enough to feed the entire community! Many thanks to Doran’s Bar for providing the sound system very last minute. For a hastily arranged venue we just proved what an amazing club community we are! Well done everyone!
Well done to Liatroim Fontenoys who won the East Down title and to Aghaderg GFC – Ballyvarley HC – Aghaderg CC who won the South Down and County titles – @Aghaderg now go on to represent Official Down GAA Official Down Camogie Down LGFA in the Ulster Scór Final in April. Ádh Mór oraibh!
