It was one of the wettest afternoons of the year but they put on a storming performance in the first half and led 2-5 to 0-3 at half time. Then it was literally backs-to-the-wall stuff in the second half – Ballygalet were storming the Clonduff half but the backs were strong – it was 19 mins before The Yellas scored in the second half by which time Ballygalget had closed the gap to 3 points. The Yellas finished strongly though, scoring the last two points to leave final score 2-8 to 0-9.
U10 Players from both clubs formed a Guard of Honour when the teams were emerging from the dressing rooms; U12s from both clubs played an exhibition game at half time. Clonduff’s Vivienne Mulcahy, the reigning Scór Sinsir Solo Singing County Champion got proceedings underway with Amhrán na bhFiann.
